For skaters aged 17, of ALL figure skating disciplines interested in a nationally and internationally competitive Elite 12 synchronized skating opportunity!

Skaters must have:

  • Gold level assessment in any discipline;
  • And/or competitive experience in any discipline

Elite 12 Synchronized Skating

Teams consist of 12 skaters.

Age: Skaters must have reached at least the age of 17 as of July 1 preceding the competition.

 

A Short Program to music a maximum of 2:50 minutes in length.

Contains the list of elements announced by the ISU for the current season:

  • Intersection Element
    • Triangle Intersection is required
    • Additional Feature – Point of Intersection (pi) is required
  • Move Element
    • All Skaters must execute the ”same free skating move (fm)”
    • A second fm is permitted only as a part of a Feature
    • Different feet are permitted
  • No Hold Element
    • Step Sequence – Additional Feature is required
    • A maximum of No Hold Element Base (NHEB) will be called
  • Twizzle Element
  • Choice of Artistic Element
    • Circle or
    • Wheel

A Free Skating Program to music 4:00 minutes +/- 10 seconds.

A well-balanced Senior Elite 12 Synchronized Skating Free Skating Program contains:

  • Creative Element – Lift
  • Group Lift Element
  • Two Different Intersection Elements
    • Intersection #1 – Additional Feature – Point of Intersection (pi) will be called
    • Intersection #2 – Must include a movement at the axis of Intersection other
      than the Additional Feature (pi rotation)
    • A maximum of Point of Intersection Base (piB) will be called
  • Move Element
    • A maximum of four different types of fms are permitted
    • Only two different types of fms are permitted at the same time
  • No Hold Element
    • Features are required
    • A maximum of Step Sequence Base (sB) will be called
  • Pair Element
  • Pivoting Element – Block
  • Synchronized Spin Element
  • Traveling Element

*The no hold element and the twizzle element may not be executed one after the other
