Synchronized skating in the
news!!!
Calgary Synchronized Skating
Club is the host club for the 2013 Skate Canada Synchronized
Skating Championships
OTTAWA, ON: Skate Canada is pleased to announce that Calgary, Alberta will host the 2013
Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships. The event will run
from February 21-23, 2013 at the WinSport Canada's Athletic and Ice
Complex (AIC). Click HERE for further information.
The 2013 Skate Canada Synchronized Skating
Championships will bring approximately 50 teams and over 1,000 skaters
from across the country to the city. The Calgary Synchronized Skating
Club is proud to be the host club for this event.
Teams will compete for national titles in the
senior, junior, open, intermediate and novice categories. The top two
senior teams will represent Canada at the 2013 ISU World Synchronized
Skating Championships from April 2-6, 2013 in Boston, USA.
Annual Synchronized
Skating Workshop
Lyne Forget has been coaching Synchronized Skating
for over three decades. She is fully NCCP Level 3 certified, working
towards Level 4. Her impressive career boasts over 50 podium finishes,
including 8 Senior Canadian Championships, more than 20 Quebec
Championships, and 10 medals at various International competitions.
These outstanding results earned Lyne the respect of not only Skate
Canada, but federations all over the world who seek her knowledge of
Synchronized Skating, artistry, originality, and technical expertise.
Lyne’s choreography has been repeatedly recognized
both nationally and internationally as she is known for taking risks
and having extreme creativity. She has contributed to the advancement
and enrichment of the sport for over 30 years, and Skate Canada:
Alberta-NWT/Nunavut could not be more excited to welcome Lyne to our
workshop!
